Sarah's Big Birthday

So yesterday I turned the big 3-0, I guess for some this is a hard birthday but for me I wanted to celebrate, I feel young...I already have 3 kids and I'm only 30 right?  Anyway Scott and I tried to plan a murder mystery dinner but we just couldn't get all of our friends to stay in town for the same weekend.  I was very disappointed in not having a party but we figured we would do something the weekend after my birthday even if it was just Scott and I.  I woke up yesterday and it was just a plain day, when I left for work Scott promised it would get better that night but I was skeptical.

At lunch Scott and the girls picked me up and we went to the park, unfortunately it was such a hot day we couldn't stay very long.  The girls had fun though and at least I was able to see them for a little while.

That evening, I left work about 15 minutes early...I mean it was my b-day right.  On the way home I talked to one of my friends and she was very understanding about me having a boring b-day.  When I got home I walked in to find the babies standing at the gate smiling at me and all kinds of decorations in the house.  I asked the girls what was going on and where was daddy.  Apparently he had planned a surprise party and I had ruined it by being early.  I was actually not the first one there, Jen-Lynn and Larry had been at the door when I pulled up but I did not even notice them duck around the corner.  Scott had been outside grilling the hamburgers and had not heard them ringing the bell.  So I did get a few minutes to see the girls and freshen up before all my guests arrived.  It was really a great party with lots of food, friends, family and even a game!
