Yesterday was a very busy day for the girls. We visited a pumkin patch, went to a fall festival, and then went to our very first corn shucking (yes it is as country as it sounds).
My moms of multiples group does a trip to the pumkin patch every year so this year we took the girls, they enjoyed seeing the other kids and wandering around looking at pumpkins. We got some cute pictures of them.

We then headed down to Waxhaw for the Fall Festival, they had all kinds of stuff for kids, but ours were just a little too small to enjoy the activities. A photographer for the monroe paper followed us around and took some pictures and so on Sunday we had a nice big picture of us strolling the streets for the festival. It is hard to act normal when you know someone is following you around taking pictures (of course he did ask but that didn't make it feel any more normal).
After the festival we went home for a much needed nap. We then got up and put on our overalls (ok everyone except me because I don't have any and don't plan to buy any) for the corn shucking we had been invited too. The girls are so lucky to have big people friends that invite them to such fun events. They even had cloggers there, so we had to get a picture of the girls with the cloggers, it was so much fun.
The girls also got to 'shuck' some corn for a local farmer, they were very interested in the corn and even tried to eat it once or twice.
Here is Olivia being a country girl, squatting down examining her corn. |

I don't have a picture of the food, but there were lots of delicious food, we had a great time, thank you to Jen-Lynn, Larry, and Larry's dad the host for letting us come and experience a true southern (and a little country) event.
