Mountain Trip

We took a trip to the mountains again this year with my parents and sister Stephanie and her family.  Even her husband Jamie joined us this year and we had a great time.  We had a cute cabin with the creek right in our backyard.  The weather was nice, mostly in the mid 70s to low 80s which was a nice break from the 90 degree weather we've had a lot of lately.

The girls weren't interested in sleeping and it took us laying down with them to get them to sleep at night.  We didn't have much luck with naps either.  Scott was especially frustrated the first day since he had allowed my mom and I to go shopping while he stayed and put the girls down.  Of course they decided not to sleep and he was ready for me to come back, especially since they hadn't slept well that night and he was hoping for a nap.

We swam in the pool which was pretty chilly, but the highlight was the creek.  The water was cold but after a while your feet got numb.  Emma didn't seem to mind the coldness too much and she wanted to stay in the shallow water picking up rocks.  Olivia did not want to touch the water, and so she spent most of her time sitting on a big rock throwing in some pebbles.  Savannah ventured in the water some, but mainly enjoyed throwing the small rocks in the water.

The girls enjoyed the freedom they had in the cabin and played on the bunk beds upstairs.  Funny thing we didn't even have to show them how to climb them, they figured that out all on their own.  They are little monkeys!

Olivia has to put on all floats, one just won't do.

We also spent a lot of time enjoying the outdoors, the weather was beautiful and we had a nice time visiting and playing.
