Another birthday has come and I now have 3 little girls. They don't even resemble the itty bitty little preemie babies that they were 3 years ago. They have grown and changed so much, what an adventure the last 3 years have been.

We celebrated their birthday with a Ballerina party.  The girls started ballet in January and the idea had been brewing since I saw how much they loved their dance class.  It was such a fun theme, I really had a great time planning it.  I wish I had more spare time to so I could enjoy it and not stress about it, but working and being a mom keeps me busy.

We told the girls about the ballerina party and their birthday a few weeks before hand.  They would talk about it and say things about their birthday but would follow up by saying, "but not today".  My mom asked if she could come and Emma said, "I'll ask my mommy" like she wasn't sure if Nana was going to get to come, too funny.  Grammy, Pepere and Mem all came for the celebration so we had a full house and some much needed help the days before the party.

On Saturday morning the girls were very excited, though it took a few times of us telling them that the party was that day for them to understand.  They had been so use to saying, "but not today" that when it really was 'today' they were excited.  Emma had been especially excited that a ballerina was coming to her party she called her "Anna the ballerina".

We had lots of little guests including another set of girl triplets and their twin friends.  This year we did the party at our house, I was looking forward to having it at home so that I wouldn't have to transport things or be in a rush to decorate.  It still seemed that I was in a rush to decorate that morning.  The party started at 10:30 so that we could so some activities outside before it got too hot.

We started off with face painting and a ballerina craft (top hat craft for the boys).  Then around 11 we had a little ballet class with Anna (the ballerina) she did a little class for the kids.  After that we played 'freeze' to the music.  When it stopped everyone had to freeze and then we played a song the girls loved in dance called "Bop Til You Drop".

After the game we sang to each girl and they blew out their candles and we had lunch and cake.  I was very happy with all the food, it was very good.  I had a lot of help thankfully in that department from Scott and his parents.  The cake was adorable my good friend Kathy made it and I just love how it turned out.  I helped with the cupcakes and made the little bows for the top.  Kathy has a special strawberry recipe and the cupcakes were made out of that, they were delicious.  The cake was half chocolate and half vanilla butter-nut, so yummy.

We opened gifts after eating and that was chasos, I think next time we will wait til later.  There were too many kids 'helping' and I couldn't keep straight what gift was from whom.

It was a very exhausting day but the girls had so much fun so it was worth it.
