Cheerleading

Emma and Savannah have been asking to do cheerleading since they saw the cheerleaders at their basketball games last winter at the YMCA.  We agreed to let them do it this fall instead of soccer. Olivia wanted to do soccer instead of cheerleading but with the baby coming we told her it would be difficult to try to get her and her sisters different places since I would not be able to drive for several weeks after the baby.   She then decided she would play football instead and her sisters could cheer for her.  We then had to explain that this was tackle football and she probably would not want to get tackled by the boys it might hurt some.  She agreed she didn't want to be pushed down so she said she would do cheerleading too.  We signed them up for the Matthews recreation club.

They have had several games already and seem to really be enjoying it, even Olivia.  They practice twice a week and get to work on cheers and tumbling.  Scott and I really enjoy watching their games it is very stress-free to not have to worry about making sure they know the rules and are in the right spot and paying attention.  They are also so cute in their uniforms, the whole squad is under 8 so it is a cute age.
