On Tuesday night we received some sad information. My grandfather (paternal) had passed away that afternoon. It was a little surprising even though he had been in the nursing home for 5 years.
On Friday I attended the receiving for my Paw-Paw but was unable to attend at the burial site because it was not wheelchair accessible and also I had an appointment that afternoon. They did a quick ultrasound on the babies and then did a non-stress test (NST) on baby C. This involves monitoring her heart rate, movement, and my contractions. Everything looked great, however when they tested my blood pressure it was pretty high, the highest it has been. They decided they wanted to monitor me for 24 hours at the hospital. So at 3:00 on Friday I was admitted to the hospital.
My blood pressure stayed high on Friday but by Saturday it was normal again, they said I could go home as long as there was no protein in my urine. We figured I would be out of the hospital no later than Sunday morning. On Saturday night the doctor came in and said that I did have some protein and that I have mild pre-eclampsia, this means I will not be going home again before the babies are born.
