In just a few days the girls will be 8 months old! I love watching the girls grow and develop into little people with very different personalities. Here are some little things that I love about each:
Emma: She has the best smile, her big dimples just melt your heart and she is almost always willing to give you a big grin. She loves to play and really loves to watch mom or dad dance or play patty-cake with her. Emma also laughs a lot and she has a really sweet giggle, we love to hear it. Emma lets you know when she is tired and she must have her blanket and her pacifier. At around 5 months we noticed that she put her hand or a small blanket over her head every time she took a nap. The doctor said we could give her one at night too because she had a hard time sleeping without one. We use to give her a security blanket and then walk in a little later and move it, but now she hugs it all night long it's so sweet. She is usually the first to sleep in the car or on a walk and she loves her swing she can fall asleep almost anywhere (but she usually needs a pacifier and blankie). Emma loves animals, she smiles and talks to Cuddles every time she sees her. Emma also really likes to talk on the phone when it rings she will look at it and say, 'hey', ok so she babbles but it sounds like she says 'hey'. She has called Scott's parents and mine and she really will talk to them, it is funny that at her age she already knows what a phone is and what it does. As for food she has always been our best bottle drinker but she doesn't open her mouth very big for food. She likes to eat food but she takes little bits and then she whines for more, she does not like peaches or peas but she seems to really like the pears. She isn't very fond of feeding herself little puffs with her fingers, she would rather mommy put them in her mouth for her.
Olivia: Our little Olivia still has the cutest chubby cheeks you've ever seen, mom and dad like to pretend they are eating them which makes her laugh. She has a nice deep laugh that will make anyone smile to hear it, she also has a cute smile, a lot of times she opens her mouth really big to give you a huge open mouthed smile. She is a good snuggler, she wakes up early some mornings and gets to come snack in bed with mommy for an hour or so, she has these cute chubby hands that are very curious and she loves to grab things and put them in her mouth. She also is easily frustrated especially if one of her sisters grabs what she is playing with, she gets very upset and it shows. Olivia loves for her daddy to hold her upside down, he does this thing where he tries to shake out all the change from her pockets and she just laughs and laughs. She is my best breast feeder and a great eater too, she doesn't mind feeding herself she especially likes to munch on her biter bars and mesh bags full of fruit. She is the hardest to get to sleep, she actually kind of grunts and whines softly which I guess helps her go to sleep. We hear her grunting and whining and we never really know if she is drifting off or if she is going to get upset, but usually she will drift off after a few minutes.
Savannah: Baby Savannah is so funny, she is very content most of the time but when she is not content everyone knows it (possibly our neighbors too). She cries very loud and she is good at making her sisters start crying also. Savannah is the most mobile, she rolls very well and we think she will be the first to crawl. Savannah loves to jump, she has to be in great shape because she can jump in the jumperoo for 30 minutes to an hour at a stretch. She has started to give us big grins lately and it is very sweet and rewarding. She laughs but it is a quiet laugh and you really have to try to make her laugh, though her sisters can make her laugh pretty well. Savannah has always loved music and she still does. She is not a very good bottle drinker and she stopped breastfeeding a few months ago. Sometimes we have to shake a rattle or play music so that she will eat. She is a much better food eater, she opens her mouth very big so you can feed her. While she eats she likes to play with her feet apparently they are very interesting, lol. She doesn't seem to mind much except peas those she doesn't care for. She is good at picking up the puffs and sometimes will munch on a biter bar but a lot of times she would rather munch on her hands, this makes feeding her especially messy.
