Mother's Day

I had a wonderful Mother's Day this year.  I got to sleep in (a little) and then get ready for church without anyone bothering me, it was really nice.  I then went downstairs and had flowers and a card from the girls and a vase of miniature roses and a vase of tulips. 

The girls also made me a stepping stone with their footprints. 

After gifts and cards, I helped Scott get the girls ready.  Though he had already done most of the work. 



Then we went outside to take some pictures before church. 

After a few quick photos we headed to church and had a nice service and even a few surprises for the moms.  We all got a little box with 2 mini cupcakes and they had 3 photographers setup to take family photos.  It was a very quick photo and I'm not sure if it will be good, but we tried.  Then we headed down to Waxhaw to have lunch with my mom and family.  Everyone was there including all 7 grandkids, talk about a little bit of crazy.  We had fun though and headed back to my mom's for some pictures.  Unfortunately Stephanie had some schoolwork and couldn't come so we missed her in our pictures. 

After my mom's house we headed back to our house to give the girls a late nap.  Scott and I tried to take a nap also, but apparently the girls were not interested in napping.  We did get a quick snooze, but then the girls were done playing in their room.  We finished off the evening with my favorite Baskin Robbins ice cream cake.  The girls weren't sure of it at first, but they ate their pieces and of course asked for more.

It was really a lovely day with my family.
