The Children's Museum

This morning we played in the fish room (aka basement) and had lots of fun.  The girls are a little off schedule and sometimes it shows.  This morning they were a little grumpy and didn't want to sit in their chairs for snack or lunch.  Mem came to join us for lunch and the girls were glad to see her again.  Lynn, Dick, and I headed over to the church after lunch to decorate for the 'meet the girls' party that is tomorrow.  It was a Fourth of July theme and I think it turned out very cute, Lynn did a great job of organizing it.

After decorating we went by the house to pick up Scott and the girls.  Shell, Hunter, and Kylie met us at the house and we all drove out to Acton, MA to the Children's Discovery Museum.  Crystal, Dominic, Iris, and Dawn (Crystal's mom) meet us there also.  Scott and I got to meet Iris for the first time, she is only 10 weeks old and super cute.  The girls were only mildly interested in their cousins, I think everyone was a little more interested in the exhibits.  It was a great place for the kids, they had 2 buildings one for older kids and one for younger kids.  We hung out in the smaller museum for most of the night, but then went to the big kid museum afterwards and found some fun activities there as well.

The 'wind funnel' at the big museum was a hit.

When we finally left it was getting late and everyone was hungry so we decided to stop at McDonald's for the kids and then headed to Utterly Delicious (Scott's favorite ice cream place).  I had a small snack from McDonald's because ice cream just isn't dinner, but all the other adults just ate ice cream for dinner, crazy people.  The girls loved the ice cream.  At one point I guess Olivia was growing inpatient waiting for her turn and stuck her whole face in my ice cream and was licking it up.  She had whipped cream all over her face and she thought it was so funny.

Another good, and busy day in Massachusetts.
