I guess it's true that the days go slowly but the years fly by. The girls are now 2 1/2 years old. The 2's can be terrible at times and I do feel like it is multiplied by 3 some days; those are the long days.
At this stage the girls all want to help with what we are doing. It is practically impossible to get things done. We have started giving them some responsibilities for example, they are in charge of getting their own silverware (which usually just causes a fight over who gets which one) and putting their cups on the table. They also have to clean up after eating.
The girls love to play hide and seek, at night they get out their flashlights and go looking for each other or Scott or I. It is a lot of fun for everyone, except when they get tired of playing and never come find you. We are enjoying watching them grow and seeing their personalities shine more and more. One of the highlights is to watch them interact with each other. They talk and play together and of course fight over the toys. Here is a little about each girl:

Emma: Our little Emma continues to blossom into our very own social butterfly. She always seems to make friends especially with the older girls when we go out. She is very observant and takes care of her sisters, if she gets something she makes sure Olivia and Savannah get it too. Yesterday in fact Savannah was still napping and we were eating a snack and Emma made me put some away for Savannah so she would not miss out. She is such a silly and funny girl. She does this thing where she says, 'and you and you and you' and then does a crazy laugh. We took a video of her doing this silly laugh, see it below. We finally figured out the other day that she was copying the cat in the hat from the cartoon. It is so funny that she picked it up. Little Emma, can be pretty dramatic, which is great when she is happy. But on the flip side when she gets sad or mad she will hang her head and slouch away and pout and cry and really make you feel awful. Emma is getting more talkative and easier to understand. At night we call Emma "Second Wind" because she acts extremely tired until we get up in their room then she has a second wind of energy, a very intense second wind I might add. Those girls will stay up for hours playing together in their room instead of sleeping if we would let them.

Olivia: Miss Olivia is easy going and is a good listener. If you have to send her to time-out it really hurts her feelings and she is truly sorry, unlike the others. She is still a hoarder and gets very upset if her sisters take any of the items she is playing with at the moment. She has also learned the concept of trading and often trades with her sisters to get the things she wants. Olivia is spunky and full of life, we enjoy watching her dance and run around. She loves to chase her sisters or have them chase her. A favorite game of hers is to take your nose and eat it, then cough it back up and give it back. Just recently she started adding salt to it before eating it, I have no idea where she gets these ideas. She has a great laugh, just to hear her laugh makes you smile. One of her favorite things to do is to 'build a castle' she takes her blankets and covers the floor with them and calls it her 'castle'. I'm not sure why it is a castle or how they learned about castles but that is what she always builds. She is becoming a lot more talkative, she is still a little hard to understand sometimes but she is much better. Her favorite thing to say now is 'mommy, mommy, mommy' over and over. It is super cute the first 100 times, but then gets a little old. She is very self-sufficient and dresses and undresses herself. As for potty-training she has done the best so far and has used the potty twice. I think she is the closest to being ready at this point, but still needs a little time.

Savannah: Little Savannah is our most vocal girl, and loves to talk. She spends lots of her time talking to her baby dolls and tucking them in, feeding them, or giving them time-out. Savannah loves to draw, her grammy showed her how to draw things and now she is very serious about her drawing. Every night she gets out her magna doodle and draws things like apples (that look like balloons), trees, and snowmen (her snowmen usually have 4 parts). She makes Scott and I draw things like nana's car, a castle, mommy, emma, olivia, etc. She is also getting very good at singing songs. She will sing in the car and often we hear her in her room singing at night. The ones she knows the best are "Santa Claus is Coming to Town", "Jesus Loves Me", and "ABCs". She likes to tell her sisters what to do and is independent but a little bossy. When she does something wrong and you correct her she will stop and stare at you and blink her eyes. She will stare and blink, stare and blink and not move a muscle. We call this her 'blinky face', she is almost daring you to do something about it. As you can imagine this 'blinky face' gets time-out a good deal. She is also very cuddly and loving, every morning before I go to work I hug and kiss everyone, but she will run to the door to get more hugs and kisses. At night she loves to sit on my lap to rock, cuddle, and sing.
