Mother's Day

The preschool had a sweet little 'muffins for mom' day on Friday before Mother's Day.  They performed two little songs for us and then we got to find the paper that was written about us.  It was funny to read all the ones on the wall.  Apparently me and the other triplet mom like to 'nap'. I wonder why that is.

Here is Olivia's:
It says,
My mom is '5' years old
I love my mother because 'she plays with me'
My mom's favorite color is 'green'
My mom's favorite thing to do is 'take a nap'
Me and my mom love to 'play with all my toys' together.
My mom looks her prettiest when 'she goes to church'

Here is Savannah's
My mom is '5' years old
I love my mother because 'she makes pancakes for me.'
My mom's favorite color is 'pink'
My mom's favorite thing to do is 'dance'
Me and my mom love to 'go to Chick-fil-A' together.
My mom looks her prettiest when 'she goes to work.'

Here is Emma's
My mom is '5' years old
I love my mother because 'she makes me go to school'
My mom's favorite color is 'green'
My mom's favorite thing to do is 'exercise'
Me and my mom love to 'exercise from television' together.
My mom looks her prettiest when 'she wears her wedding dress'

The girls also each painted a little pot and also made me a cute little picture with their hand prints.

I had a very nice and actually relaxing Mother's Day this year.  Scott and the girls made me breakfast in bed and I got a waffle with strawberries and eggs.  It was so good and they actually all let me eat this year in my room without sharing.  I also got some gifts, my annual stepping stone turned out great this year and I didn't even help, good job Scott!  I also got a few clothes I had picked out and an ice cream cake (my favorite).

After breakfast we headed to my mom's church to see her.  It was a nice sermon and the girls did well sitting through the service with us.  After church we went to my mom's house and had some lunch.  The mothers got to eat first (in peace) which was great, sure made it taste even better.

We sat around on the porch and watched the kids play for several hours.  It was pretty relaxing to just sit outside and hang out.  It was a beautiful day and we had intended to head home after a few hours but then found out my other sister was coming.  So my mom and I ran a few errands and grabbed some dinner for everyone.  We then hung out on the back porch some more and finally headed home around 7pm.  It was a long but peaceful and relaxing day.  I'm already looking forward to next year.
