Yesterday was our last day of preschool, maybe it would have
been sad if it had not been so busy. First of all Scott is out of town on
business this week and I have a very busy work week. Not to mention the
girls got sick over the weekend and are taking turns feeling bad and running
fevers.
Here is a quick breakdown of our week.
Monday we kept Olivia home and Scott took her to the doctor
to make sure the fever wasn't from something more serious. The doctor
said she likely just had a small bug and seemed fine. Turns out the
doctor was right because on Tuesday I had to go get Savannah from school early
as she was not feeling well. By the end of the day Emma wasn't feeling
well either. We decided to skip dance that night since only Olivia was
feeling up to it and Scott was leaving for a business trip out of town.
We had just a lazy afternoon and evening and by Wednesday morning everyone
seemed better, maybe a bit fussy but better. I took them to school then
headed to work for another busy day. That night my mom joined us for the
meet and greet at their new school, it was a stressful day since Emma came home
complaining about her throat hurting and all the girls were just in terrible
moods. We made it through the open house and it seemed like the girls had
a nice time but then as soon as we started to leave Emma complained again about
her throat, I called the minute clinic but they were already closed. It
was a rough night trying to get them all ready for bed and I had to stay up
late to finish all the teacher gifts and work on things for their birthday
party at school. Because they have a summer birthday the teachers let the
students pick a day to celebrate, I wish we had gotten a day the week before
because Scott had to miss this and it was just another added thing to worry
about this week.
On Thursday morning I took them to school and didn't hear
Emma complain about her throat so I was hoping it was better. We arrived
early so we could take some pictures but they didn't really want to cooperate
as the sun was in their eyes, it was 8:50 am and not exactly a bright
day.
I then ran around getting the supplies for the party and cupcakes that I had ordered. I then went home and finished the little ‘frozen’ sticks for the cupcakes, grabbed my lunch and then headed back to eat lunch with the girls and do the party.
We stayed to play for just a bit but it was so hot we headed over to Emma’s speech a little early. Today was also her last day of speech but we will have another speech meeting in June so we didn't have to say our final goodbyes yet. On the way home Emma fell asleep I guess she still wasn't up to feeling her best. We then got ready for ice skating, by this point I was so ready for Scott to come home. No one wanted to cooperate and everyone was so whinny I was ready to just give up. When we left for ice skating I woke Emma up to put her back in the van and for the next hour she cried, she wouldn't get her skates on but then when the class started she wanted to go so then I had to get her ready after already trying once. After class I went through the drive through and bought us all salads for dinner. I let them play outside for a few minutes and I finally got to sit down. Scott got home that evening just as we were getting ready for bed. I was so glad to have this day behind me, so like I said maybe I would have been sad for their last day of preschool but I was too tired to think about it.
Here is a better picture inside at the preschool.
