Girls age 5

Emma – At age 5 Emma is still the most outgoing and friendly girl, she still makes friends everywhere she goes.  She is still working on her speech but we can understand her almost 100% of the time now.  Emma is very loving she gives hugs and kisses with such passion and so often, I just love all of her hugs.  She knows she is the oldest and will tell people she is the oldest but that she is the smallest.  She doesn’t want to be the smallest because she can’t ride in a booster seat at Nana’s house.  Emma is very emotional and dramatic and still has break downs over the smallest things.  Emma loves to eat popping cereal and will ask for it multiple times.  One of my favorite things about Emma is her story-telling, she remembers stories very well usually they are bible stories but sometimes are stories from tv or a book.  It is so cute to hear her tell a story and you can see her thinking about what is next as she slowly recalls it.  Just recently she has started singing songs which is so cute.

Olivia – At age 5 Olivia has come out of her shell quite a bit and has become a little more demanding and less easy-going than she was a year ago.  She is the peace-maker and the first to give into her sisters if they want something like a specific color cup or dress.  Olivia is the tallest of her sisters and is proud of it.  She does not care for dresses or playing dress up but she will play with her sisters and be the boy or the prince.  Just the other day I overheard them playing and apparently Emma was marrying Olivia and Savannah was organizing the event.  Olivia loves her monkey dress and shirt and anything with her initial on it. Olivia is still shy but also very playful and has the best, most genuine laugh.  I love to make her laugh so I can hear it.  At night Olivia loves to have her belly rubbed and will often lift up her shirt and put my hand on her belly so I get the ‘hint’.  She still gives me ‘all the kisses’ at night which she does in a very organized way.  She is very organized and particular about her things, just last night she organized her pj drawer and then I heard her sternly tell her sisters not to mess it up.  She also loves to find or earn money, often she will help me with chores so she can get a quarter.  Olivia was the first to lose a tooth (bottom-left) , she was upset by the blood but very excited that it was out.

Savannah – Savannah is the most adventurous and confident, she is willing to try new things and is very determined to do well.  She was the best at ice skating because she wasn’t afraid to fall and had a spirit of determination about her.  Savannah is very girly, she loves to dress up and even if we are staying around the house wants to wear a dress (a fancy one).  Savannah is the boss when at home, she can sometimes be a bit rude and harsh with her sisters.  Savannah is a mommy’s girl and is very affectionate before I can leave I have to make sure I give her at least 10 hugs and kisses.  She loves to sing and dance and has recently started putting shows on for us.  She also likes to do my hair which I do love, sometimes all of them will help and I just savor having all those little hands working on my hair.  Savannah loves waffles and pancakes probably because of the syrup she gets on them and the cool whip.
