Today is Tuesday July 21'st and we are now just two days shy of 34 weeks. I have now been in the hospital for 5 days. The doctors and nurses are very attentive. They are constantly knocking on the door to see me. One comes in to give me pills or water, another to check blood pressure, and of course the dietacian to get my preferences on meals. Then we have the doctor(s) to talk and see if any new symtoms have appeared or to discuss test results with me. At two in the morning they want to take my blood for lab work. Scott calls these nurses the vampires since they only come out at night to get my blood. The food has been acceptable. Not bad, but not a restaurant I would go back to.
We are now in a waiting game. This game entails me laying in bed having them do multiple tests a day. They monitor the babies heart rates while monitoring everything on me. The doctors say that everything is as good as can be expected considering I am carying the triplets. So we are forced to wait for a 'trigger' event, a symptom that is reason enough to deliver the babies.
I have had many guests the past few days. My little sister came by with her husband and the kids yesterday. Bethany even rode around in the wheelchair with me. I was also suprised by my cousins Debbie and Kassee on Sunday. Kim and her mom came by on Monday and then today I saw Tammy from work and Melissa from campbell and her mom. Not to mention my overnight guests, Scott and my mom have taken turns spending the night and tonight is Scott's mom's first night.
I have the privelage of being able to spend 30 minutes a day on the patio outside the room. Yesterday during my visit out there we were able to get a picture of me and my belly.
We still do not know when the babies are going to arrive, but we will keep you up to date.
Hey Sarah! I'm so sorry to hear about your Paw-Paw! We're praying for you guys! Give me a call if you get bored! -Jane
