On Wednesday the girls got to meet their great-grandmother,
Mem. She and Scott's parents flew down from
Massachusetts to come visit the girls. They arrived Wednesday afternoon while I was at work, but Scott packed up all three girls and went to the airport to pick up our visitors (aka helpers). I am constantly amazed at how Scott takes them places by himself. They are so heavy now and I find it physically exhausting just to help get them and all their stuff packed up to go somewhere. He and the girls have made several outings by themselves including Target, Harris Teeter (twice), Radio Shack,
Kirklands, Stein Mart, and probably more that I don't even know about. He gets a lot of comments from strangers like: "God Bless You", "Wow, you have your hands full", "Are they triplets" (this is one of my favorites, no they just all happen to be the same age, dressed in matching outfits, and in matching
carseats...hello people), "Are they all girls" (
ok so we have the pinkest most
girly carseats that are on the market so again people let's think before we speak).
Scott's parents were a huge help around the house. I have contemplated on talking about the weariness and constant struggle having triplets is. I don't want to sound like I am not blessed, but I think people have a hard time understanding just how difficult having three babies at once is. We love our babies but we are physically and emotionally worn out. Scott's parents came just in time to help.
