On Tuesday I went to the specialist. On Tuesday I was 26w 5d, very close to our important 28w first goal. We were surprised to see how much the babies have grown in 2 weeks. Here are the new weights:
Baby A 2lb 7oz
Baby B 2lb 4oz
Baby C 2lb 2oz

Unfortunately my cervix has decided to start shortening, this means that pre-term labor is a high risk. My specialist sent me over to the hospital to be monitored for contractions. They hooked me up to several machines to monitor the babies heartbeats and contractions. The babies were of course doing great but I was having some contractions. The doctor on-call said that they didn't seem to be regular and I can't feel them. She decided to send me home on modified bedrest. This means that I am not suppose to be out of bed or off the couch for very long, I can eat, pee, shower, etc. but no chores or standing. To my relief she said I can leave the house occasionally to go to dinner or visit a friend or to the store but I must use a wheelchair at the store and Scott must drop me at the door when I do go to pick-up the few last minute baby necessities. I will start going every week to the specialist now so they can monitor my cervix more closely.

They say that since they are all so close that this is a good sign and that they are sharing nicely, no one is lagging behind too much. We were able to get some good pictures of B and C this time, but not A. We even got a picture of all 3 heads together, it's a little hard to make out but very cool.

Everyone is asking for more belly shots, but I have to say that I am enjoying these less and less, I feel very large. I have added some though from today 27 weeks.
Sarah you look great to be having 3 precious baby girls! I'm so excited for you!
